Commissions
I often work on commission. If you don’t see piece in my collection that resonates with you, I’d be happy to use your favorite quote as the inspiration in creating an original hand carved Madeline Bird.

Behind the Scenes Studio Stories
One of my first commissions will always stay with me. I was asked to create a Madeline Bird as a gift to a dear friend, marking the anniversary of the loss of their loved one, the young mother of three small children. As told to me, a bright red cardinal visited the friend’s window often, reminding her of her loved one. I carved a cardinal and placed the quote she requested, “The light remains,”under its wing. Over the cardinal’s heart, I affixed three tiny gold bees, representing the young mother’s three children. Knowing this piece passed from my hand to the client’s, and from her hands to her friend’s, is a feeling I’m still unable to put into words.
The power of art amazes me.
